an architecture model for data from Simon Willison to achieve dynamic static websites, dynamic because the data is changing but static because it does so in snapshots / discrete intervals.
Basically, how it works is that a read-only instance of your data is published with your site and the site is rendered on top of that. This is basically my inspiration for how I did my fits-stream as well and how I’ve thought a lot about backing websites with coda databases.
